GUIDED SELF-HEALING PROGRAMS FOR HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND FIRST RESPONDERS

At this time, many health professionals are feeling stressed, overwhelmed and traumatised by the horrifying reality of working during the COVID-19 pandemic. I can help.

In these self-healing programs I use my knowledge of the latest advances in neuroscience, combined with my compassionate presence and healing intention, to guide you through a simple process that can literally change the wiring in your brain. You can rapidly delete your most traumatic memories – the images that haunt you – unburden your negative emotions, and learn how compassion can protect and sustain you.

Neuroscience explains how traumatic events in your past can program the brain to create emotional and body reactions that make life difficult for you in the present. These automatic reactions are subconsciously triggered and they powerfully shape your emotional responses, your thoughts, motivations and behaviors. This may lead to anxiety, depression, relationship problems, addictions, chronic stress and health problems. Talk therapies often don’t help very much because these problems are hard-wired in your brain.

For me as a doctor, the most astonishing new discovery is that this neural encoding of trauma can be erased within minutes, by a self-healing mechanism that deletes nerve connections in a part of the brain called the Amygdala. We know the details of a molecular mechanism that rapidly removes receptors from post-synaptic membranes, breaking the connection between the trigger and the response. When the neural program is erased, then you no longer suffer the painful emotions or unhelpful reactions and you are unburdened from your trauma. My online programs are an introduction to a practice called Havening Techniques ®, which are specifically designed to elicit this healing response. It’s the first such therapy that is based on a detailed understanding of the underlying mechanisms in the brain, right down to the molecular level.

As an anesthesiologist, government advisor, and international health leader, I was deeply skeptical of the claims of this therapy. My assumption was that major emotional trauma needs months or years of therapy. To be honest, even though a very esteemed friend and colleague tried for two years to persuade me to train in the therapy, I resisted. However, when he published a book about the therapy, I became more curious. The science was starting to make sense to my medical mind.

But I was completely hooked when I obtained a video of the developer of Havening Touch, Dr Ronald Ruden, doing the therapy. I was astonished when he cured a major phobia in his client in about twenty minutes. Next I tried a crazy experiment: instead of the client’s phobia, I inserted my own emotional trauma into the process and copied the techniques in the video. Twenty minutes later, my traumatic memory was simply erased! I couldn’t have been more surprised. Nothing in my medical training prepared me for this response.

So I rushed overseas to do the training and have developed my practice under supervision of one of the top trainers in the USA. In addition to being a Certified Havening Practitioner, I am now also a Certified Trainer. I see so much potential for this therapy to transform our approach to mental health and also to have a significant impact on chronic physical disease.

In my Neuroscience of Healing clinic I have seen many clients quickly and effortlessly erase their painful memories and set themselves free from their past. I have seen major phobias cured in less than fifteen minutes. And in clients with complex trauma, with layer upon layer of damaging life events, I have witnessed the most amazing healing occur over a number of sessions. I see life-changing results every week and this work is the most astonishing and gratifying work I have ever done as a doctor.

This technique is so powerful, that in some cases, you will be able to complete therapy all by yourself. I wanted to make this therapy as widely available as possible and that is why I have carefully designed these online, self-healing programs and offered them to health professionals and first responders free of charge. The first two programs are already reviewed and approved by Dr Ronald Ruden, the developer of Havening Techniques.

I want to add a note of caution here: If you have longstanding anxiety, PTSD, major depression or diagnosed mental illness DO NOT attempt this therapy by yourself. I strongly recommend that you seek the care of an experienced therapist. I would be delighted to work with you and I am offering free one-on-one online sessions to traumatised health workers.

Otherwise, I invite you to try the programs below. I do not guarantee positive results but I know that most of you will notice rapid and remarkable results, in a process that is quick and effortless.

This program takes you through a guided process to unburden the unwanted feelings and restore you to a place of calm and safety.

When our technical skills are not enough to treat, cure or save patients, we can feel incompetent, helpless and distressed. Yet ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience are in agreement that compassionate caring offers deep healing to both patient and professional, even in the most difficult circumstance.

In this program you will learn about the neuroscience of compassion, dispel the many professional myths about compassion, learn about the amazing impact on patient care and health professional wellbeing, and learn a daily practice to strengthen your compassion (including self-compassion) and loving kindness.
